Chopin's The Story of an Hour

This short story was very shocking. At the beginning you feel sad that Mrs. Mallard's husband died. Then at the end you are shocked that Mrs. Mallard has died and her husband was really alive.  When I read the ending I had to read it again because I was so surprised. Reading the story I did not predict that the ending would be her death and not his.
